Though everyone is a candidate for a stair lift, wheelchair lift, or elevator, it's not always easy for everyone to afford what they need. And no one should have to choose between paying their essential bills and affording the accessibility help they need.
That's why Transitions Lift + Elevator is pleased to offer various methods of assistance to our customers. Offsetting some or all of the cost associated with a lift or elevator can sometimes be the only way that someone achieves their home accessibility goals.
One avenue of assistance is via the Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation (KATLC), which can provide low interest loans to approved applicants who need accessibility equipment or home modification.
Also, there are Rural Repair and Rehabilitation Loans and Grants for the very low-income eligible customers who need to address health and safety hazards. Loans of up to $20,000 and grants up to $7,500 are available.
Plus, the Hart-Supported Living Grant is available for Kentuckians with disabilities. Veterans can apply under Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA), Specialty Adaptive Housing (SAH), or Special Home Adaptation (SHA).
With so many different ways to obtain help, you don't have to get discouraged. And if you need help, Transitions can help get you started in your pursuit. Just give us a call and let us know your situation. Our goal is to get everyone the accessibility assistance they need!
