Using a Dumbwaiter at Home

Many times, accessibility products are about moving people from one floor of a building to another floor in a building. We see this in action via elevators, stair lifts, and wheelchair lifts, just to name a few.

But accessibility products offer many additional functionalities, as well. For example, dumbwaiters perform much the same function as elevators; however, dumbwaiters are designed to transport objects (not people).

A dumbwaiter is helpful to homeowners because it performs tasks that could pose a strain on the individuals who live there. For example, bags of groceries can travel up from basement garages to kitchens. Laundry can travel back and forth between bedroom level and laundry level.

That can save wear and tear on aching backs. Plus, it avoids the safety concerns that carrying awkward and/or heavy loads present when going up and down stairs. Convenience plus safety are enough of a reason on their own, but throw in a possible increase in home value, and you have a real winning combination.
